One of our very first wooden mahjong tile prototypes.
Earlier this year, after seeing a beautiful vintage wooden mahjong set while visiting a friend in California, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Wood isn't a new idea. In fact, it's one of mahjong's oldest materials.
What fascinated me was how absent it had become from the modern American mahjong world.
This little prototype was our first step toward bringing it back.
